We are excited to return to Little Tokyo with our 18th annual home concert!  This summer’s unprecedented performance features Bombu Taiko, Kitsune Intermediates, and Hawaiian slack key guitar virtuoso MAKANA.  Hailing from Oahu, MAKANA was described as “one of the greatest living slack key guitarists” by Esquire Magazine.

TAIKOPROJECT will present its innovative mix of traditional and modern interpretations of American taiko music featuring the ensemble’s array of enormous taiko drums, koto (Japanese harp), vocals, marimba, and shinobue (bamboo flute), and will debut new collaborative work with MAKANA created just for the show.
